AWAKE your tradition, AWAKE your culture, AWAKE your connection with nature.

The AWAKE Cultural Camp Series was passionately created to preserve Indigenous culture. In an ever-changing world, traditional fishing, hunting and trapping skills are becoming increasingly scarce. It’s time to AWAKEN our rich heritage and pass knowledge down to future generations, so our culture and traditional ways of life are preserved well into the future.

Due to popular demand we now offer a variety of one-day and weekend camps throughout the year. Individuals of all heritages are welcome to apply. No previous fishing or hunting experience required. There are no costs to participants — expenses generously covered by BME and Fort McKay Alcor.
